Privacy Statement

Bluestem Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Bluestem) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Bluestem Web site and governs data collection and usage. Generally, you can browse through our website without giving us any information about yourself. When we do need your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your personal information, this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information. By using the Bluestem website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

You do not have to provide any personally identifiable information to visit this website; however, if you use the website to send us an e-mail, apply for a scholarship, or if you provide personally identifiable information through the website in any other way, we may collect and may maintain the information that you provide. Personally identifiable information refers to your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Bluestem may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically

The site operator may automatically collect and store anonymous information about site visitors to enable us to make the website more useful and improve the overall quality of the visitor’s online experience. Anonymous information refers to data that cannot be tied back to a specific individual.
